G35 poor tread life - 10-12k??

It has been well documented that the Nissan 350z has had issues with it's suspension causing very poor tread life. Nissan has finally recognized this problem and is in the process of issuing a recall.

The result of a class action lawsuit against Nissan.

Have you experienced abnormal tire wear on your Nissan 350z? Do your tires show signs of feathering or cupping? Have you had one or more sets of tires replaced on your 350z? Are you suffering from excessive tire noise? You are not alone. Message boards are filled with 1000's of posts from 350z owners across the country reporting problems with their tires. In some cases, consumers are reportedly going through three sets of tires within 12,000 - 14,000 miles!

Sadly, Infiniti refuses to acknowledge that these problems exist with the G35 coupe and maybe even the sedan. (They also fail to recognize that the newer 05-07 models with the rev-up motor also have oil consumption issues. Infiniti failed to upgrade their pistons/rings when they increased the rev limit on the newer models). That was smart. I guess they don't have an R&D/Quality Control department?

Reminds me of a Mickey Mouse mechanic who just slap on a bunch of crap and pray that it works.

The link above indicates that a tread life of just about 12-14k is not acceptable, hence the "class action suite " against Nissan. Hopefully more people will recognize this issue and file a complaint here: http://www.nissantireproblems.com/infiniti-g35-tire-wear.html

There's a couple of hardcore G35 owners who won't admit that the G35 has several mechanical and other problem. And they will say anything to "protect" the name of the G. Sadly, they are delusional.

An M3 has a documented tread life of 40+k. And an M3 is a real sports car. Unlike the G35. Which is all looks and sadly lacks everything else.

Here's another review:
G35 epinion review

Watch out for tire wear issues, brakes, automatic close windows falling out of adjustment. CD player was very slow in switching CD's. From reading forums on Infiniti's, I believe there are some very, very good dealerships, and very, very bad dealerships, that will hurt Infiniti in the end. While their automobiles are now much more exciting than years ago they had better work on their dealer network consistency and customer care. I already have 2 individuals who have decided to avoid Infiniti due to my experience.

Cons: tire wear, brake wear, maintenance $$$, very poor service experience

SUCK FACTOR

You're not too far off - acquire and *use* a good spell checker and then get some logic somehow and then ... oh yes, grow a brain - you'll need one sometime.
