Well, I bought a bottle of this stuff a little over a year ago. I decided to use the stuff today after some idiot hit my rear quarter panel. (Dude in a white truck took off before I could say anything to him). License Plate traced it to a Camry). Go figure...

I opened the package for the 1st time and guess what? The paint is DRY! Even though the bottle is sealed, the paint in the jar is Dry and basically useless. It's of no use.

After contacting Dr. ColorChip, I was told that the shelf-life of the product is 1 year. And being that my purchase was just a bit over a year, I was not covered under their warranty.

They did offer me a discount if I decided to purchase a replacement.

Photos will be uploaded tomorrow. I think I tossed the jar in the trash. I'll go look for it.

G35 driver don't have a lot of money

G35 Drivers are ballin' out of control. They have the money to rice the shit out of their cars. When it comes to clear corners and flat black spray-paint and vinyl overlays, they somehow managed to find ways to come up with the cash. But when it comes to tune-ups, maintenance, premium fuel and schedule services. Nope! I is flat broke homie!

What's next? Tell everyone that it's okay to use cheap 87 Octane fuel on your G35? LOL!

My 06 Coupe just hit 14,001 miles this week. Still in MINT condition if anyone wants to buy it.

You will find no other G35 in this condition. Unmolested, no ricey ass shit on the car.

The only mod on this car are the tinted windows and the JDM battery cover.

The only thing wrong with this car is the typical problems on all G35 vehicles. Most of them have been fixed at the dealership.

All service records and recall works are included. From airbag, headlights, to sunroof issues and gas filling issues have all be fixed.

The only problem the car has are the squeaks and driver side window rattle.

Here we have an ad exposing the mindset of guys at Infiniti. While there is no way in hell an Infinit can compare to a BMW, Infiniti decides to poke fun at a BMW. And they even had to edit their videos using CGI because the Infiniti in real life can't drive like that. LOL (Just visit G35driver.com and see how many G owners ends up smashing their car into a center divider).

Even after all that, the BMW still makes it there first. And the Infiniti owner had to retort to physical assault on the BMW and steal it's parking.

Long story short. The G35 gets raped by a stock Civic. There are those still in denial and still drive their G's like it's the fastest car on the road. A few members not in denial suggested that the keep the G as a show car. Because there is no point in spending 30k more to make it faster than a POS Civic.

Check out this month's ricer. A purple Honda Civic. Err... Wait, a G35? WTF? I can't tell the difference.

I always wondered why people would do this to a G35. They take a clean, classy car and put cheap fiberglass parts just to make it look like a fast car, The Vtec Honda Civic.

I don't care what you do to a G35. You can paint it purple, put cheap ricer ass kits on it, put speed vents or speed holes all over the damn car to increase 'aerodynamics' it will never be as fast a VTEC Civic.

At let me tell you, this fucking ricer has a bunch of fucking speed holes all over the damn car.

Now, for those wondering why this fagot ass car is purple. Take a look at the interior. What do you see? Yep, that right thur is a bitch stick. Instead of taking his time learning how to drive a stick, this guy decided to spend his time ricing the shit out of the car. I'm guessing his next mod is a auto to manual conversion.

Wrong! This guy decided to just tint the damn windows black so you can't see his bitch stick. He then threw on some polygonal stealth wide-body kit with fake air vents that doesn't vent the hot air from the hood at, but instead is just for looks because that's how people who drive a 5AT do it.

All that money and he couldn't afford to paint the damn spoiler. His excuse was, he wanted to match his fake Scion roof and ugly ass Darth Vader Hood. Sorry, but this is one of the ugliest pos hood I have ever seen on any car. Imagine the same hood on a Honda Civic. People would be screaming ricer and pointing at it. Just look at the face of these girls. It says it all.

And wtf happened to the grill? The car just looks cheap with all those damn speed holes. We get it, you want the car to be fast, so you put all those damn holes all over the car. Check out those egay headlights son, they be mad bangin' yo. And you don't know about the sticker on the windshield homie. They is called the face blocker. I be so fast, I runs through red lights and the cameras can't catch my face yo. I is that ugly son. (If I was driving or sitting in the passenger, I wouldn't mind the stickers. I would be fucking embarrassed to be seen in this shit.).

OMFG! LMAO! WTF is this. Imagine downloading some porn, and you see a black guy with a 1 inch dick. This is exactly how I felt when I saw the rear of the car. Something just doesn't look right. Ever been bored one day decided tuck your dick under your ass? Is this the look this guy was going for?

I guess when he pulled into the Infiniti dealership, he was asked to remove all emblems because this was a straight embarrassment and Infiniti didn't want anyone to assocaited this car with Infiniti. Which is trying to become an "upscale" car dealership.

I mean seriously, WTF is this? 2001? The days of over the top kits and super bright colors are long gone. People are going to the sleeper look. Most people are moving on to better things. Why are people still ricing out their cars?

Is the Ricer scene dying out?

A few years ago, driving around SoCAL, you can see hundreds of ricers cruising the streets. With these over the top body kits, ugly stickers all over the car and a drop so low that you have to drive at an angle to pass a 'dip' on the cross streets pissing off 20+ drivers behind you.

Fast forward to now, I RARELY see any ricers cruising around anymore. BUT the sad part is, the RICERS that I do see are all G35 drivers. LOL!

With their stupid GTR overlays, Scion Roof, stupid black out headlights, clear corners and ugly ass body kits. I mean wtf is this? 2001? Do they still have "meets" where a bunch of fags meet up a a coffee shop or Hooters to talk about intakes body kits?

"Hey man, open your hood son. Show me yours I'll show you mine. What you got there? It's a cold air intake. See the pipes, it goes all the down to the floor and grabs colder air and makes my car go hella fast yo."

G35 6mt cannot handle hot weather...

So last week, Southern California was hit with a heat wave lasting for about 3 days. The one day I decided to drive the 06 G35 Coupe was Tuesday. And after only 1 hour of driving, the clutch started to fail!

Clutch pedal started to feel mushy and the engagement point was off. It started to engage just 1" off the floor. The weather outside was only 95-98 degrees. But I did run the AC and the car was probably struggling.

Just a week ago, this clutch fluid was clear. Car only has about 12k miles on them. Maybe the 5 year old fluid needed to be changed? Not sure but everyone who drives a G coupe knows that this car runs hot.

Even driving at night in 60 degrees weather, you are hit with hot air for no god damn reason. Even with the air is shut off, hot air seeps into the cabin and you have to roll the windows down. IN 60 DEGREES WEATHER at night.........

The 07 clutch also received a TSB for problems with the clutch sticking.

Some of the "fix" for this seems to be change out the DOT3 fluid and replacing it with a DOT4 fluid.

I just replaced mine using the "turkey baster" method with Vavoline DOT3-4 Synthetic Brake Fluid. It was the only thing I have available sitting in the garage. It should up fine seeing that the heat wave is no longer here.

Another buyers falls victim to the VQ

After just a few days of ownership, the owners notice "smoke" coming out of the exhaust. After dedicating some time to "fix" the problem himself to no avail, he decided to drop off the at a Nissan Dealership.

Long story short, the owners finds out that his pistons and rings are toast. And he will need a new motor.

So think twice before you decide to buy a G35. Especially a used one. The VQ's are known for it's crappy rings and pistons. No wonder the future models will have a Mercedes motor!

If Toyota keeps the final production car as close to the concept as they can, this car is going to be a HUGE HIT. It already has thousands of enthusiast talking about it. This car isn't even out yet.

There will be two versions of this car. One will be the Scion FT-86 and the other will be from Subaru.

The Scion version will be a RWD 2.0 liter, 200hp, and the Subaru version will be a 2.5 turbocharge motor and AWD. With the possibility of a STI version.

So Infiniti has the IPL (Inferior performance line) encased with a Feminine style body. And Subaru will have the FT-86. Which should you choose?

The obvious is clear. And besides, Infiniti doesn't have a history of Reliability. I should know.

How to change your G35 cabin air filter

Is it time to change your cabin air filter? Here is a video outline the details. It's pretty simple. So just do it yourself. Dealership wants $100+ for this.

You: But, didn't Infiniti issue a TSB on the bushing? Replacing it with a redesign bushing?

Infiniti / Nissan: Yes, but that's not the point. Our designer didn't take into consideration that this is a high performance vehicle. We only do short therm testing for the vehicle. After all, you're driving a high performance vehicle. Thing's are suppose to break.

You: My window motor stopped working. This is the 5th this this has happened. I don't have $100 to fix it because I bought a Nismo bodykit and some spent another $100 to make my roof look like a Scion. What's the deal?

Since the car is so fast, it causes the motor to get loose over times and fall apart. But it's totally normal. Don't be surprised if you have to replace this every month. The new G will borrow heavily from the styling of the Essence show car, which we saw at the Geneva Motor Show last March.

Infiniti is about to release a New G35 with a brand new motor. Straight from Mercedes Benz. I really do not like the new styling of the Infiniti line up. The G35 so far is the better looking vehicle out of the Infiniti the lineup.

Infiniti, if you are listening, please release a limited edition G35 coupe. Featuring the exterior styling of the 2002-07 G35 coupe, but with all the updated interiors and technology that would make this car relevant and more reliable then the previous POS G's. Of course the exterior should be updated just a bit but keeping the classic G35 lines.

Maybe use the G35 Concept as the Exterior? But still include the new Mercedes 3.5 V6 engine. This car would be beast foo!

The first reports concerning the next-generation Infiniti G sedan and coupe, codenamed V37, have trickled into the R&T offices. The exterior body style was approved recently by Nissan design chief Shiro Nakamura. We hear from sources inside Nissan’s design studio that the new G, especially the coupe version, will borrow heavily from the styling of the Essence show car, which we saw at the Geneva Motor Show last March.

Around that time, the Financial Times reported that Nissan and Daimler were working together on a future luxury car. We hear that this joint project is the G Coupe (not so much the sedan). Our sources say that the next Infiniti G Coupe will be powered by Mercedes-Benz’s 3.5-liter V-6, with a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V-6 as an option for Europe. In other markets, including the U.S., it will be available with the M Hybrid’s gas-electric system and AMG’s 5.5-liter V-8 that will produce upward of 360 bhp. The latter will most likely wear the IPL (Infiniti Performance Line) badge and go after BMW 6 Series and Maserati GranTurismo customers.

While the base G sedan is expected to come with a mid-$30,000 price tag, you can expect the hybrid version to be priced near $55,000 and the V-8-powered Coupe to cost around $70,000. There is the slight possibility that Infiniti will decide to build a coupe version of the M sedan, and place the V-8 (or even a more powerful engine, perhaps the 6.2-liter AMG V-8) under its hood. But one Nissan insider says that the company’s priority is to bring glory back to the Skyline appellation (the G in Japan is called the Skyline) after it was dropped from the GT-R’s name with the R35. Look for the new G sedan and coupe to appear in 2013.

A new G35 driver likes to bump his stock Bose system and stare at guys

This guy just got a G35 and is damn proud of it. So he goes around looking for dudes to stare at in the parking lot while he is blasting his stock system on full blast. His best friend is sitting on the passngerside and they're both holding hands and listening to "I'm so Lonely" by Akon.

Not sure why anyone would listen their music on full blast with a Stock G35 stereo. It's one of the WORST stock system out there. I have the Premium package and the speakers are made of paper. You'll hear a "popping" sound if it goes pass a certain volume level.

If I was a passenger in a G35 with the driver bumpin' his music on full blast I would be trucking embarrassed. Especially when the driver is bumpin' love songs with nothing but dudes in the car.

"So i've decided to change things around with my sedan and go a little different than what most people would do. Im going to be going with a pink and black theme on the entire car. Pink black and polished engine bay with a black suede interior with pink stitching. I'll update as much as i can, just scraping money together for the whole thing is going slower than i want.

My supra buddy builds high hp motors for a living so he will be helping me with the whole build. Im going to be aiming for around 550whp and its going to be my daily. Going to have my motor fully built by my buddy with assistance from myself. Here are some pics to get started...."

Yeah son, whatchu know about this. It's called color coordination. Pink grills with Pink Time Attacks stripes on my fake ROTA wheels I gots from Craigslist homie. Check out my flat black paint job. I dids them myself. I read on honda-tech that it was a cool thing to do so I dids it cuz I is original.

No one on G35driver knows about this new trend so that's why I posted these pics. I was hoping to get some feedback and what do you know? Everyone loved it! I need to read honda-tech more often to copy them and set the trend in the G Community.

Some members hate my car, but that's because I didn't following the G35driver modding rules. Which is basically clear corners, black headlights, black scion roof, black tails, and a illest sticker on the rear window.

Another thing I'm bringing from Honda-Tech to G35driver? Painted Interiors! People did this on their Honda back in 1999. They stopped doing it since, but since the G35 came out in 2002, I decided to bring it back.

And yeah, don't hate. It's a fucking automatic. If you didn't know already, most G drivers don't know how to drive a stick. We come up with all excuses like traffic and automatic are faster and some other fake BS. Truth is they can't drive a stick or their parent's won't let them buy a manual because mommy needs to drive it to.

But after seeing what their son did to the car, both parents are way to embarrassed to drive this pink and black POS. But anyways, I need to start a thread on driver on how to convert this 5at to a 6mt. But for now, I'll cover this embarrassing slush box with this matching hat.

Every time I park my car, people always point and laugh. Then when they find out it's a turbo automatic, the bitches walk away laughing at me. I felt to bad, that now, I have to cover my shame stick with a hat.

So you bought a G35? Let me be the first to say, I'm sorry. I feel your pain. I too have the misfortune of owning this POS of a car.

Who would have known this this car would have so many god damn problems. We all know every cars has it's issues. But the Infinit G35 Coupe is the only car I have owned that has TONS of problems. And most of these problems are recurring.

This car is definitely not a keeper. Not a car you would keep and pass on to your kids. Once you are passed the Warranty Period, it's time to dump it to some other poor sap.

Infiniti offers 16k for my 06 G35

Should I take the bait? Since no one HS kids can afford to pay asking price for my G35 Coupe. 16k is a bit low. KBB for the car is about 22k. (The ricer scene basically destroyed the resale value of this car.) No one wants to pay more than 12k for a mint G35.

Is there a catch? Do I have to use the money to buy another POS Infiniti vehicle?

I'm looking to purchase a 2011 Lexus GS instead.

Check out this month's Ricer. Anyone care to explain this ugly pos? I mean, wtf was this guy smoking when he decided to do this to his car. This guy wanted to be different, but it looks ugly just like most of the ricers on this blog.

Owner: Yo playa, I just joined driver and they told me to debadge son. I'm in the cool kids club now. Don't be hating fool. Check out my fiberglass bumper yo. Some Mexican rear ended me and I was like, "yo, time to upgrade to an aftermarket bumper that doesn't match the curves of the car yo." And since his insurance was paying, I decided to give my entire car a new paint job son. That's how all G35 owner mod their cars. With insurance money.

WTF is going on here? Half the car is white and the other half is black. Half the car is curvy and the other half is boxy. This is one of the ugliest aftermarket bumper I have ever seen. Honestly son, the stock rear bumper is better looking than most aftermarket pos.

Holy shit batman! You thought the rear view was bad. The front view is even worse. Looks like a fucking retarded Oreo Cookie. WTF happened here? Shit is totally cross-eyed yo. You have to squint yo eyes a few times to realize wtf this is. At first sight, you're not even sure if this is real. Also note the license plate. All ricer must put their plate on the dash behind the windshield. It's the rice boy code. If any ricer doesn't do this, they get laughed at and their membership canceled from the cool kids club. Just drive real fast and then step on the brake really hard and the plate flies into her face. Shutting her up for good.

The Japanese automaker Nissan, Renault French ally, was awarded Tuesday by the New York City contract to provide its next taxi, famous for their yellow color, at the expense of Ford and the American Turkish Karsan.

In a statement, Nissan North America was pleased to have won the contract to supply the city of New York "taxi of tomorrow", a spacious minivan.

The Taxi and Limousine Commission of New York City (TLC) "has chosen the Nissan NV200 cab as the exclusive New York City from late 2013, following a selection process that lasted" more than two years, "the statement said.

LOL! What's up with these Infinit owners and the "shamu" theme? (See G35 Shamu) I know most Infiniti owners are a bit obese (see car meet photos) causing the seat rails to crack, but damn, no need to ride around in a whale themed car.

I mean it's all the same and I am running out of things to say. Scion roof, color matched wheels and carbon fiber parts. So much for being different. Also, don't forget the vanity plate. This one says "Gucci". I'm guessing it's pimp talk for 'Gochi Gochi Goo".

The interior isn't that bad. At least this guy knows how to drive a stick. Unlike the guys over at G35driver. Who claims it's because of "traffic". They're absolutely correct. If I dind't know how to drive a stick, I wouldn't want everyone in traffic to laugh at my ass stalling and shit.

So instead, I would install a shift boot to make it look like I'm driving a stick. And if my car is parked, I'll cover the auto shifter with a baseball cap. Cause does how's we does it son.

Back to the interior. It's a "Gucci" themed interior. Doesn't look to bad, but I prefer the contrast of the Silver Aluminum trims. Look at the passenger seat. Notice how mint it is. Yeah, he drives by himself. And I don't blame his friends. I wouldn't want to be seen riding in this shamu car either.

So I had my clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing replaced on my car at Infiniti of Scottsdale due to a vibration that was occurring in 1st gear. The vibration came back, and car started popping 1st gear out while driving, and also grinding 2nd gear. Got my transmission replaced at that point.

Fast forward 6k miles later, and the vibration is back. So I take my car to Infiniti of Peoria which is 2 miles away from my house. (The only reason why I ever went to Infiniti of Scottsdale was because it was closer to my work).

I talk to a service advisor there (Josh Gaffiny) who is an awesome guy. I talk to him about getting my car serviced there for the vibration issue as well as a few other warranty items which needed to be addressed (Brake vibration, 3rd time. Peeling dash, 2nd time. Hood struts going out, 1st time). He tells me no problem. On this same day, which was on April 14th, a technician named Gary took my car for a test drive with me in it and confirmed that the vibration was present and not normal.

The next day he (Josh) calls me back, and tells me I can not bring my car in for the transmission issue because his service manager does not want to work on it out of fear that if the other dealership messed something up, he would have to foot the bill. I tell him that is fine if that is the standard operating procedure.

On April 19th I called Infiniti Consumer Affairs and spoke with David who was quite helpful, and stated the dealership should work on my car regardless of which Infiniti dealer did the repairs prior. He told me I would get a call from someone in the next 24 hours.

I took my car back to Infiniti of Peoria that same day and spoke with Josh again and informed him of what ICA told me. He got his manager, Gus Briones (a very dishonest and fake person), who decided to take my car for a drive with me in it. He also noticed the issue. I said peachy, and left my car there and obtained a loaner vehicle.

On April 20th, at approximately 1pm, I get a call from ICA, from a rep named Erin (rude and apparently unable to comprehend basic communication skills, as every time I would tell her something, there would be a 15 second pause before she replied, as if reading from a script), who tells me that she spoke with Gus, who informed her that there is no issue with my vehicle. I politely informed her that Gus is a liar, and that both him and the technician (Gary) noticed the problem, and were able to replicate it on my car multiple times.
She then tells me there is nothing ICA can do about it since they go off of what the Service Manager (Gus the ****ing liar) tells them. I asked her if I take it to my own mechanic and he finds the problems and repairs it, can I send them the bill for reimbursement, and she tells me I would need to have an Infiniti dealer do the repairs. I then point out the paradox of the Infiniti dealer not wanting to fix it, and not wanting to reimburse me if I get it fixed. It went on and on in circles. It was like talking to a wall. I asked her why she does not talk to the technician, since I am hoping he is not a liar like his boss, and she tells me they only talk to the manager. So, ICA is completely useless. I don't really even know why they exist.

At this point I call Gus. I asked him why he told ICA there was no issue with my car, and he stated he is not confident they will be able to pin point the problem if they take my car apart, so he does not want to do it. I told him that there obviously is an issue that both he and Gary noticed, and he tells me he spoke with Gary, and they both feel there is no issue with my car. I point out to him that no other 6 speed G37 does this, like the one they were looking to sell me that I drove last time I was in there. The guy is an idiot, he is obviously not confident in his employee's ability to repair a vehicle or diagnose a problem, and does not give two flying ****s about his customers. Plain and simple.

More quality from Infiniti. Is there anything on a G35 that was built to last? There are so many problems with the car that I lost count. But just to remind everyone, the G35 has over 400 TSB issued for the car and about 9 major recalls.

Here is another common problem with the G35 Coupe. The damn seat rails. Tons of owners realized that after a couple miles on the car, the seat will start rocking. A few idiots out there thinks that this is a "new" Luxury feature from Nissan. Claiming that their car is very Luxiury because they can rock back an forth with the seats.

However, the pictures below says otherwise. The reason why the seats are rocking is beacuse the rails are cracking and starting to fail. The cost of the repair is between $800 - $1200. A few owners decides to weld the rails themselves instead of replacing them. Cheap ass mother fuckers if you ask me. Intakes and body kits over safety I guess.

The cause seems to be a bolt coming loose making the seats rock back and forth. And if not caught early, the rails will start to warp and crack.

Here is a horror story from an individual which owns 4 Infiniti vehicles and will never own another Infiniti vehicle ever again! I don't blame them. After owning a G35 Coupe and experiencing all the problems with both the vehicle and the service I received from the dealership, I will never go back.

I received better customer service from the Acura Dealership on a 10 year old car! And that car had LESS problems then my 2006 G35 Coupe.

Honestly, the lack of professionalism is appalling, I am offended that this dealership has the nerve to charge for thing that were promises and/or paid for when we leased our car. Such as car rental and maintenance to name a couple of thing off hand. We paid for an all inclusive maintenance package that was supposedly to cover all serves on this car. OH but against better judgment we went to a dealership that I swore I’d never to do business with again. I waited for this car for twenty years and was not going to pass it up. I wish I had.

I am also dismayed at the fact I have been sent brochures offing 2012 at a huge discount far less than I am currently paying. So you see why after owning four Infinities two Gs one M30 convertible and this one, I will never own another.

Now we feel as though we have been shafted all the way around on this car. Your offer has just added salt to our wounds.
Furthermore I will let it be known to all at the car wash, supermarket, any were I am with the top down just how unhappy we are and why.

We all know how crappy the POS G35 underbody are. As seen here. Now lets compare it to a BMW underbody.

For comparison, here is a G35 under-body. Check out the welds. Look how crappy they are. This is how it looks straight from factory. The car was not in a horrible accident.

And here is a a BMW under body. Notice how clean the welds are. This is just quality. It doesn't matter if you can't see it. And if you OWN a G35, you'll understand how crappy it is. I mean, the car basically falls apart after 10k miles. FYI: The G35 has over 400 TSB's combined. (03-07). An 09 Hyndai Genesis Coupe has 20 TSB's.

Heck, the welds in seen in a Honda Civic are much cleaner than the ones found in a G35. That's quality right thur!

While making a right turn, I noticed a White G35 pass by me with one of the ugliest racing stripes I'd had ever seen. The driver of that White G35 noticed that I was also driving a G35. So what does he do?

He stops in the middle of the highway and waits for me to "catch up". In the mean time, there are 4 cars right behind him thinking WTF?

As I approached him, side by side, he takes off and realizes that I have too much class to participate in an illegal street race.

I also noticed that he has the number 44 on the roof of the car. I wonder what that means? I guess he murdered 44 other vehicles in a street race?

Well, at least the G looked mad sexy cruising down the Drag Strip while getting smacked by a Honda Accord. At stated before, the G35 is a pig on the tracks. Doesn't matter if it has a twin turbo or a 5 car length head start. It will most likely lose every time.

The G isn't meant for the tracks. No matter how much money you put into it, you can build a faster more reliable street/track car when you go with a Honda.

Infiniti G37 or Solara? Which is which?

The Toyota Solara was introduced in 1998. In 2004, the Solara received a face-lift sporting a much "sportier" look. 4 years later, Infiniti decides to rip it and put an additional 15k on the price tag. And guess what, some people acutally bought it. LOL

The difference is the Solara offers a more comfortable ride with more user friendly options. Such as being able to recirculate the Cabin air w/o having the AC on. The G37 offers more HP and an engine that has more pings than a Chinese Ping Pong Tournament with 4 billion people playing.

[above] Notice the similarity? It's NOT a coincidence that the IPL G has the same aggressive front bumper as the Toyota Solara including the fog lights. Can't they at lest be original? See image below and compare.

The Convertibles. Which one is which? To the untrained eye, not many can spot the difference. The first time we saw the G37, we all thought it was a Solara with rims. Upon closer inspection, we noticed the Mount Fuji badge. We first spotted the G37 back in 9/27/200 7 and our first impression was, "is that a Solara?"

After 5 years of owning an Infiniti, I wouldn't be surprised if the Solara was more reliable than the G37. And don't get me started with the horrible service you'll get at Infiniti. Not only are they totally incompetent when it comes to the car they're selling, but RUDE at the same time.

A typical response for any problems you have with your car is, "We never heard of that before". Then you google it and realize that over 180,000 hits shows up for the exact same problem.

Their "technicians" are probably HS kids who use to steal Honda / Acura parts and sell them on ebay.

Stay away from the G35. It doesn't matter if it has the VQ35DE or VQ35DE Rev-Up engine. They are all crap. I bought a brand new 2007 G35 with 8 miles on the clock. I broke the engine in just as the manual stated. It burned oil the whole time I had it. I sold it with 5,000 miles on the clock. It took me 1 1/2 years to sell it. I never drove it from the time I started the selling process.

I took an $8,000 dollar loss when I sold it.
Royal purple, Amsoil, lucas, Mobile 1.

It doesn't matter what oil you use, the G35 will eat it up and spit it out like Aunt Betty's fruit cake at Christmas.

Move on brother, just move on. You WILL become another victim if you purchase a G35.

It's a huge a$$ thread about a piece of crap that Nissan sold to
the American consumer. Then Nissan spit in our face by denying and lying about the problem as they laughed all the way to the bank.

Nissan waited 3 years before they relased a TSB on the oil burning issue.
Nissan was trying to get past the warranty period before releasing the TSB on the G35 and the 350z.

Look for something else.

My friends Acura Legend with 250k miles is more quieter than my 2006 G35 with about 11k miles.

Toyota FT-86 would RAPE the G25

A 305hp budget sports coupe? If this is true, it's going to be the next big hit. Forget the stupid little 50K Inferior Performance Line G37 or the 32k G25. Anyone with even half a brain would rather hop on the FT-86. The only thing that can go wrong with this car is if it's sold under the Scion Badge.

The rumored pricing for his beast is about $25k! So forget the IPL G37. You can get 2 of these. One as a daily and one as a track car. Looking at the concept, this thing is one sick ride. Hopefully, Toyota doesn't mess this up with the production car, like Infinti did with the G37. LOL I would trade my G35 for this ride. Heck, I even thought about trading it for a 2010 V6 Camry.

Toyota FT-86 Could Get 305-HP Subaru WRX STI Engine

Previewed in concept form, the upcoming Toyota FT-86 was introduced as a budget sports car inspired by the Corolla AE86 and using a low-powered Subaru boxer engine capable of around 200-hp. Now, reports suggest that with increased development costs Toyota has decided to take the project further up-market, opting instead to run the WRX STI’s 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, producing a significant 305-hp.

Partnership on the car, often referred to as the ‘Toyobaru’ may extend further however, with Toyota and Subaru also looking at ways to team-up on additional future models. In fact, the next-generation Subaru Tirbeca could share a platform with the Toyota Highlander.

Toyota is expected to debut the FT-86 at the Tokyo Motor Show at the end of 2011, although some reports have suggested we could get our first glimpse of the production model, badged as the Scion FR-S, at this year’s New York Auto Show in April.

Nissan begs Toyota for a handout.....

Nissan first had to wait for Honda's VTEC patent to run out before it decided to give it's 2008 G37 "VVEL" on both cams. Previous cars before that only had it on the exhaust side.

While Honda had the Technology way back in what? 1989? LOL! This is no surprise. Because my 2006 G35 has a "Push button" Navigation while the 2002, Honda Accord has a touch screen Navigation. Nissan BARELY went touch screen in 2007.

Honda and Toyota are both moving forward while Nissan is barely catching up. And how are they catching up? They are begging Mercedes Ben for their motor to use on future Nissan / Infiniti Vehicles, and now they're begging Toyota to see if they can use their Hybrid Technology in their vehicles.

The only thing Nissan has going for them is the Skyline GTR. But that's just a butt ugly ricer with a turbo slapped onto it. Wow it goes fast! Yeah, and a 1989 CRX with Twin Turbo can hit low 7's on the 1/4. And that won't cost as much as a 80k GT-Ricer.

2012 Infiniti M Hybrid First Drive

It took a while, but with the 2012 Infiniti M Hybrid, Nissan is entering the hybrid fray on its own terms. Yes, Nissan currently produces the Altima Hybrid, but the company licensed that car's hybrid system from competitor Toyota, a move that certainly involved tucked tails, hats in hands and some pride-filled esophagi.

Electric-Only or Blended Operation
Nissan's first in-house hybrid system is a clever evolution of familiar powertrain hardware. It can propel the big rear-drive luxury sedan solely on battery power, with the engine only or some combination of the two. Unlike with Toyota's hybrid system, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is not used, nor is a second electric motor. In this respect, Nissan's hybrid system is more reminiscent of Hyundai's hybrid drivetrain.

Check out this month ricer of the month. A 2011 G37 going for 50k. It has the name and the price, but does it have the numbers to back it up?

IPL = Inferior Performance Line?

edmunds just released an article outlining the G37 IPL performance. And just as expected, it's not worth the price the IPL is selling for . I mean, what the do you expect? It's a G37 with the same exact motor as a stock G37. All it has is some ricey body kits, red leather seats and a freaking intake.

The Results:

1/4-Mile: 14.0 @ 102.1 (14.6 @ 100.8 TC On)
0-60 with 1-ft Rollout (sec): 5.5 (6.3 TC On)

Woah son! For an extra 10k, you gets an intake and some red seats! Don't look at the numbers. Real ballers pay 50k for an IPL G. Anyone who says otherwise is a broke motherfucker and needs to buy a Civic. You need to pay to play.

Check out the body kits son. It comes RICE straight from the factory! The G37 has a bubbly and curvy body. Not sure WTF Infiniti was thinking when they decided to go with a boxy and jagged body kits that doesn't flow with the car at all. I bet an aftermarket company can make a better looking kit for the G37.

To sum it all up, what they're (and everyone else) are saying is, all the IPL G37 is, is a stock G37 with ricer upgrades. Basically, it's for the lazy ricers who wants to rice their car but don't know how to. They're basically trying to get into the ricer scene. After all, the G Coupe is the only vehicle in the Infinti line up that sells. And the red seats, just screams, look at me, "I'm a Phucking Loser."

Infniti is trying to boost sales by targeting a certain market. However, what they don't know is, that the "market" they are targeting are a bunch of HS kids who bought their G35 coupe used for 15k. So if you want to BOOST sale, sell the IPL G37 for 15k. I might buy one for that price. Then I'll take it to Lexus and trade it in for the IS350.

The IPL G reminds me of a poser. You know, the guys who drive a Mercedes but still lives with their parents.

Infiniti G35 and the Nissan Maxima. Same motor, same parts?

Most informed owners are very aware that the VQ35De has a history of oil consumption and oil leaks. (Google it). There is a LONG history of oil consumptions on all cars using the same motor. From the Nissan Maxima to the Infiniti G35.

Also down the road, some owners at 70k are seeing oil leaking onto the spark plugs. (see video here). What should be a fairly inexpensive is actually rape. As you can see below. Because the spark plug gaskets are "Built-in", you cannot replace the gasket. Instead, you have to purchase a brand new valve cover.

What's interesting is, the Maxima and the G35 share the same exact motor. (VQ35DE). Yet the parts has a huge price difference. As you can see below.

Although several cars share the same exact motor, the valve cover design are "slightly" different. So it MAY or MAY NOT fit perfectly. It may fit on the engine perfectly, you may have trouble bolting the OEM plastic engine cover onto the valve cover.

Maybe an Aftermarket company can look into this and make an all metal valve cover with replaceable spark plug gaskets. @ $400 to purchase a plastic cover, I'm sure most owners are willing to pay $400 for an all metal version.

Quality right thur. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that the G35 and the Nissan fucking Maxima share the same motor? Luxury and Performance right thur. LOL

Check out these crappy welds. This is found on an 03-07 Infiniti G35 Coupe and HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT! This is some shady ass welds if you ask me. I cannot believe this type of workmanship came from Japan. Would you buy an exhaust with these type of welds? HELL NO...

I've seen better welds in a 1990 Honda CRX. Sure we can't see it. But that's not the point. This is just poor craftsmanship on a car that is suppose to be a "luxury" vehicles. But it's not a shock. This is a Nissan after all. Just an overpriced one. Rebadged and sold to America at a price that it really isn't worth. 38-41k or a re-branded Nissan that has over 400 TSB's and 13 Major recalls.

My 13 day nightmare in a Infiniti G35 Coupe

And you guys thought I hated my G35 coupe? This guy blew out his back while driving a G35! WTF? This guy got rid of his G35 after only 900 miles put into the car. Was then forced to buy back his old car for 3 grand more and took a 6k+ depreciation value hit on the G35 he gave back to Infiniti. He also lost his 4k down payment.

I'm writing this to tell you about my experience at the Gwinnett Infiniti dealership in the Atlanta Area. Saturday morning 10:00 AM after a hockey game with my coworkers, I decided to drop by Gwinnett Infiniti dealership to get some more information about the G35 coupe and grab a brochure. I wanted to purchase a new vehicle to replace my 2003 VW GTI VR6. I was torn between the Infiniti’s G35 coupe and a BMW 330CI ZHP. I also wanted to check out what the Acura TL had to offer but coming from a country where it snows half the year, I was really set on getting a rear wheel drive car with some good get up and go.

So get to the Gwinnett Infiniti dealership and I Asked a sales person got the information and was ready to go home but the sales guy asked me if I wanted to take a test drive. I said no, I was just gathering information and I would be back to do this, I'm a slow shopper and I’m not ready to buy... He insisted that I try the car to get the full information now, so I said fine, I'll try but I’m not purchasing this car now, I got other cars to look at and Other people to consult. So he promptly ran into the dealer with my drivers license and we where off. On are way out he was driving, he said he had to make a quick stop at the bank to get some money, the bank closed at Noon and that he would not have the time to go any other time.... So we did the quick stop, he got off, got his money and got back in... I finally got to drive the car for all but 3 minutes... We got back to the dealership and he brought me in to talk about numbers.

This is where I made my first mistake

We sit down in this office start going back and forth about what I wanted to get for my car and what kind of payments that I was looking for etc... So I told him "600$ a month". So he asked me for my info, SSN, Name, Date Of Birth and called the loan holder for my car (Carmax) and got my buyout, went to his sales manager and came back with numbers that where way off what I wanted monthly... 13,500$ for my car and 37,200$ for the G35 witch was like a 800$ monthly payment… I knew he was trying to use the “look how good we are to you tactic” by overshooting my monthly payment and then making me feel like since I got him to come down, I got my way… So I decided to play along because I knew what was going on and I wanted to get it anyway… So he proceeded to hand me a piece of paper and a pen and asked me to write what I wanted the numbers to look like saying: “I’m on your side buddy but give me reasonable numbers to work with so I could talk my sales manager down” (Yeah right!) So I said fine, I want 15,500$ for my car, which was the book trade in value in Kelly’s Blue Book and my exact buyout and I offered 34,500$ for the G35 with a wing Added witch I knew was about what guys where getting for the car equipped like it was and I was going to put 4000$ down which would bring me close to the 600$ a month I wanted to pay…

So he came back with 14,500$ + taxes witch would be close to my buyout for my car and 34,500 + taxes for there car witch he said cam down to 648 a month at 5.9% I said fine let me take these numbers and go home and figure things out, my budget, insurance cost ETC… He was like don’t worry we will get all that sorted out, I know people who know people Blah! Blah! Blah! So I told him listen, I’m sold I just won’t sign today, I will go home and come here Monday at 10:00 am and we will get it done…. So again he said no, no, no! this is a today deal, Interest rates are going up and if you sign now we can lock up this rate, Monday It might not be there, he even called the financing guy to beat on me with this info, so since they already had my info, my SSN my address and my cars papers, they started whipping up the papers to get me rolling today, I was like hold it man, you can write all this stuff up but I’m not signing this today, we will finish this deal Monday… He was like: “no bro, you will be able to go home today in your fresh new G35 and surprise your family”… So again I told him I was not going to take delivery of the car till the deal was finalized and the Wing put on and you can’t do that by the time I’m out of here, I won’t wait that long, I’m hungry, tired and you are officially stressing me out…

This is where I made my second mistake

The sales guy pulled me aside and started to give me a guilt trip about how much time he had spent with me working on this deal (6 hours) and how he only gets paid on commission and that he was new here (3 weeks) and that he would really appreciate if I could help him out… So I responded listen, I told you when I got here I was not ready to buy, you convinced me that this car was the car for me over the BMW, now I’m not comfortable with getting this today, I take my time to spend 50$ so I was not about to spend close to 35K$ in 6 hours I was going to talk it over with my girlfriend and check my budget numbers… So he started attacking my manhood, telling me I was responsible to make a decision on my own… SO I was tired of his babble, I was going to sign and go home but I know that the deal was fall thru because of my Canadian record not being accessible to SunTrust…

So I signed my car away and signed the paper for the G35 coupe…
I know I was stupid but you have to understand that at that point I was tired, I suffer from a condition called hypoglycemia, for those who don’t know what that it, here’s a link about it… http://www.hypoglycemia.org/ so I was finally happy I could jump in one of there loaner cars and go home to eat Sedan, the fatigue and confusion was getting unbearable…

When I got home, I told my girlfriend the news and started eating, surprised by the news, she told me I was not looking happy as she thought I would. I told her I was not, it was my first new car purchase and what I thought was suppose to be a great experience turned out to be the biggest stress filled experience of my life. So she left it at that, saying, you will fell better when you get your new toy… Later that night after looking at what I signed for I realized that I got hustled a little bit:

My monthly payment was the same as they mentioned but the numbers on the contract where not the same as the ones on the piece of paper…

The piece of paper said we negotiated on said 14,500$ for my car and 34,500 for the new car… Nice round numbers, easy to remember for a total of 648$ a month with 4000$ down…

The contract said 14,250$ for my car and 34,800 for the new car… not round numbers, not easy to remember for a total of 648$ a month with 4000$ down…

I was so embarrassed by not realizing that and knew that I could do nothing about it since I signed (reason more why they did not want me to go home with the numbers). So I said to myself, lesson learned, never again will I let this happen…

So on Monday I returned to the dealer to pick up my new ride with my girlfriend, to my surprise my sales guy was not there, I was told he left on vacation and that another sales person would help me take delivery. So he came to me and proceeded to tell me that the financing is proving to be complicated with SunTrust since they can’t pull my credit from Canada... I told him that I was not surprised, I had mentioned this to the other sales guy and the finance guy but they would not listen. I said that’s fine, just give me my old car back and I would be on my way but he told me to wait until tomorrow so they can get things finalized. So I came back Tuesday, The same story was being told, so I sacked them again to give me my car back but they asked me to keep the loaner one more day and that they would call me for pickup… Wednesday went by and I heard nothing about Infiniti.

Finally Thursday they came up with a solution, same deal but this time thru Infiniti at 7.9% rate… I said, no thank you, I’m done with this deal, I want my car back and I’m coming to pick it up now… So I show up at the dealer give back there loaner car and ask for my car back… After sitting there 2 hours, the finance manager being frustrated with dealing with this case for 4 days came out and start telling me how I had no credit in the United States and who did I think I was to demand a lower interest rate under those conditions. Being the calm person that I am, I did not blowup in his face even if I felted like it, I calmly said: “I never asked for any interest rate, I was given a interest rate over the weekend based on my information, I told my sales person that Infiniti would have problems getting me financed unless the could pull my Canadian credit score. If Carmax was able to give me 4.9% based on my credit in Canada, I really don’t think I’m asking for nothing out of the ordinary, please give me my old car back and I will be on my way”.

This is where I made my third mistake

So they came back with 6.9% rate and told me to not be cheap because its only 20$ extra a month and said we can't go lower… but I told them that If Infiniti does not want to take a 1000$ financial loss over 5 years, why do they think that I can afford too… For the last time give my dam car back so I can go home please. It was clear to me that they could not give me my car back because they probably already paid for my loan on my old car and reversing it would cost more to Infiniti then holding up there part of the deal, so they caved it and made me sign the papers with Infiniti financing at 5.9%… Since they caved in and I’m a man of my word I figured it was only right that I follow thru for the same price...

So I drove off, on my way out, the sales guy helping us out felted so bad that he said he was sorry for me and to come back when I wanted and he would fill up my tank once, I thanked him and drove off.
